“How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.” ~ George Washington
No wonder George Washington was a great man becoming known as the Father of our country. This way of thinking leads to a way of living.
While George Washington was considered to be the Father of our country, the greatest Father of all is our heavenly Father. Our God the Father of all mankind loves all people. He demonstrated this by sending his Son, Jesus and his Son proved His love by coming to this earth. When he began His ministry he stated His life’s goal in Luke 4:18-19
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,because he has anoi nted me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind,to set at liberty those who are oppressed,to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” We all need good news, liberty, and recovery in our lives.
Washington could free only his slaves upon his death. Upon the death of Jesus,he freed all people from sin and death and gave them hope in life and hope of heaven. In Romans 6:6 it says “We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.” Do want to be freed from sin and given hope of heaven? Do you feel enslaved? Let Jesus set you free. https://188.8.131.52/~cwtech38/coldwatercoc.com/godsplanforyou.html
